Black & Red Poppies

Here's a card I made early this morning, Its for a group that I have just joined England stampers and the challenge is Red & Black, I thought I'd use some stamps from the past.... The main feature being the poppy stamp by Stampington, the background stamps used where the marble effect from the artifacts cube by stamp addicts and the flower stamp is a stampin up stamp.
I used the acrylic paint dabber on the poppy stamp and also on the flower stamp
The memento inkpad was used with the marble background.

I added red brads and black organza ribbon.
All the papers where from my scrap box which I love to use as you feel like you have made a card for nothing....lol

Oriental Cards

Hi, Today I have gone all oriental....lol
I was sorting through my box last night and picked out some odd bits of papers and decided to use them up today, that was my project for today. I ended up making 5. 3 of which are very similar, simple cards with different stamped wording and added 3D image and the other 2 are more paper layered with added embellishments....

its surprizing what you can make out of odd scraps of paper....

The sentiment reads - Imagination is all you need to start, and love all you need to succeed.
I think this one is my favourite......

Although maybe this one is my favourite......lol

This afternoon I HAD to go with my hubby to pick up new parts for my car.... Strange I hear you say.....Did I mention that not far from the garage is THE RANGE.... and I was hoping they would have the new Daisy & Dandelion stamps in..... I said to my hubby shall we just pop in and take a look while where here...lol
And it was my lucky day as the girl was just putting them out on the stand. I plumped for the dogs and the elephants as I have the messy rabbit stamps and some of the forever friends. I cant wait to get playing, so once the evening meal is out of the way its out with the rubber and away with the stamping lol.....

Hubby is still thinking did she plan this....... who! little old me lol

Birthday cards

Evening all, I have been busy making orders today, and catching up with my stock as well as trying to tidy my craftroom as I go, thats not an easy task. One day I shall have a craft room that does move when you do in it, which means stuff stays on shelves and doesnt come falling on top of you...... oh to be a tidy crafter(NO CHANCE)
Here are a couple of orders that I fulfilled today
the first card someone wanted there dog putting on a birthday card, so that was pretty simple or so I thought I was going to decoupage it, but that didnt work so I ended up making it twice..lol

and the second is a Birthday card for daughter and she wanted yellow daffs.

The papers are from K & Co. the kit was by Tim Coffey and I am also going to use them on my easter cards....
Thanks for looking come back soon and dont forget please leave a comment, its nice to know what you think ju x

So there is still time for anyone wanting to join in the swop as paul this month has it open until the 5th march as he is away on holiday after this weekend
Check out the blog here
So After making my atcs I made an extra one for myself of which I then turned into a card.... This is a great way of making toppers to store for a quick card.... why not give it a try
I have just used some backing papers in similar colours to the atc, I have used my NEW border punch - Martha Stewart doily which I ordered from USA and it came while I was on holiday so you will be seeing lots of cards with this on lol... The atc is mounted onto some silver mirri which I embossed with the swiss dots on the photo it looks like little pearls... A few word embellishments and hey presto finished.....

BACK FROM THE FREEZING FRENCH BORDERS

Well, I must say I am glad to be back to the tropical breezes of the cornish coast, it was rather chilly in Normandy this Feb. we had minus 6, I didnt know it was possible to wear so many layers and still feel cold.
Well things seem to have been moving pretty quickly while I have been away everyone has been busy, I was busy colouring images while away to come back and find out that you can no longer use them so that was a bit of a pain but hey ho we move on and I have been busy today washing washing washing.....lol
I did make my atcs for the feb swop which I will be uploading tomorrow when I find the camera again.
My son revamped my computer while away so I now have no favourites I have to add them all again, just another job....lol and I am still waiting for him to add some of my programmes so its press speech marks to get @ cos he hasnt yet changed the key board from usa to english lol
Am I rambling, its all the silence out in Normandy, I have started wittering I must get a grip lol
Well tomorrow I will start my blogging again and get back to some normality....is that possible for me ????

HOLIDAY SHOULDER BAG

You may remember when I bought this kit to make a felt bag last month, well I finally got around to making it and finished it off last night ready to use on my holiday tomorrow, last minute as always, I finished stitching it up about 9p.m. and then shoved it into the washing machine with my sons jeans to shrink it(no problem) and I knew it was gonna come out smaller but was amazed how it turned out lol... I am so please with the bag cos I love the colours (my favourite - sea colours)
Button fastening....Well I wont see you for the next 2 weeks as I am off on holiday in the Morning... So keep crafting while I am away and please come back to see me when I return as I shall be crafting while I am in France lol.....

Travel Card - Happy Holiday

Heres a card I have made for an order to give to someone about to go on their holidays..... just like me....
Its using just 2 stamps the collage stamp and the added eiffel tower stamp
all layered and coloured in pens, inks and watercolours to give different shadings

The sentiment is made with the pc and layered and added and a short length of lace added to the collage with 2 button brads
These have all be mounted onto a piece of K & Co backing paper of antique envelopes matted onto gold and placed on a pearl cream card...
I hope everyone has been enjoying the snow today, I have kept inside, its best looking out lol
I may have some pics tomorrow if its still here, if we can get out that is.....(snowed or I should say iced in at the moment).... until tomorrow x
