Distress inks - ART

A few cards I have made over the last day or so, getting all messy, lots of inky fingers as I dont do gloves lol....
I love to have a play around with inks and paints, but dont get much time to just experiment so this was a nice way to relax and chill for me,
The backgrounds are all using Distress inks and I have just stamped ontop with Memento Ink or staz on.

Hope you like these as they are a little different to what I usually blog, but its nice to be different once in a while....... Have a fun & messy weekend.....

March at ATC Swappers - Patriotism

The Theme for March over at atc swappers is Patriotism. This means that you can do anything about your country or indeed any country.
Why not take a look over at the blog and join in with this months swap.

This was a difficult one for me this month, but in the end I decided to go for Cornwall, as my husband being cornish says its a country in itself, or should I say he's not English he's CORNISH!!! and I am just a mere emmit(visitor).
So my atcs are based on St Pirans Day,which is March 5th, I have made all my 4 atcs the same, these include a Celtic Cross, the Cornish Flag, A beautiful beach scene, which is Porthcurno beach where the first telephone cables came ashore from America in 1900 and a text plate - St Pirans Day March 5th all mounted onto a gold card with an added piece of cornish tartan ribbon.

Rainbow ATC - England Stampers Swap

I have just been playing with some old favourites - Twinkling H2o's.
This is for an ATC swap at a group I have joined called England Stampers
If anyone is interested in joining the group please check out Kathys blog here and get intouch with her as she is the organiser just mention you saw it on my blog - thanks....
For the atc I made a messy background with the H2o's which I let mingle together before drying with the heat gun, I then stamped on top with the message stamp using memento ink, Next I added the dragonfly stamp using acrylic dabber, and edged the atc with it also. Lastly I added some pearl brads.
The message stamp reads - I journeyed to rainbows end and found not gold but you my friend.

Here is my New sugar nellie stamp, I have been admiring it for a while now, I just had to try it out...... Dont ask me where the idea came from, but I seem to have gone into the animal print, maybe its watching that programme WILD AT HEART lol(my husbands favourite - sad man) lol But anyway it does seem to work...or at least I think so, what do you think?

the papers used are from the Jayne Netley mayhew cd , embellishments are brads, pearl strings and ribbon.

My Card for Sketch Saturday Challenge

Well I am finally getting round to the challenges again, I was so behind with my cards its took me all this time to catch up after being on holiday, so this is the first challenge I have done for a while, Its a fab sketch over on sketch saturday this week I have used my Forever Friends stamp and decoupaged it with 3 extra layers, the papers I have used are from K & Co. and the tiny brad embellishments are papermania, the sentiment is a sticker.

This topper has turned out really well, I have used the apricot promarker for the bear colour and because its a simple shape its so easy to decoupage.
