New Stamps and my Creation - Stampin Up

Well its been a day and a half for me today, I had to take my son all the way to Paignton cause he bought a car, and needed to go collect it, so a 250 mile round trip for me lol, with all the holiday traffic I was glad to have a break half way through the day.... I just happened to pop into Totnes the next town, as I know a little craft shop there lol..... how lucky!
I wasnt going to buy anything for the next month as I have just got a large order from Stampin up so I was goin to be good, but when a chance like this happens, well you 've just got to go with the flo.... havent you! lol

I got a new punch, which makes sort of tags which I shall post next week, makes great embellishments for your cards, and I got some worded twills, and a circle punch to go with a set of my stampin up stamps.
Anyway, When I got home, I just had to relax and get rid of the stress of driving, so I went straight into my craft room and made this card, the first one using one of my new stamps. I am very pleased with the card I just love these sketch images and I love the spiral punch

Hope you like it too...... have a great weekend everyone.... ju x

Tonight I am going to show you some tags I have been making for a swap
Over at England Stampers Yahoo group.

I have made 2 sets of 3 so that each recipient will recieve 1 of each set. the 1st set is made up of a collage of different stamps with added lace and flower and pearl bead.

the 2nd set of tags is taken from a stamp and has been coloured with distress inks and blended together to get the vintage feel.

Dimensional Flower Mingle

Dimensional Flower Mingle - Flower Box card

In the England stamper group we have just had a new mingle...... what I hear you ask? a mingle lol
this is where we make 3 items, either all the same or different and send them to 3 others in the group, you then receive 3 items from 3 others...... interested..... why not join the group contact me if your interested, this is just one of the many swaps we do... we are always looking for new members

The theme this time for the Mingle is Dimensional Flowers
you could use any type of flower, stamped image, decoupage or photo
I decided to go for a decoupage look with my stamped images there is 4 layers of stamped images in each box

close up of the Flower Box

The first layer at the very back are pink flowers, the next layer is acetate with oriental blossoms which where stamped in stazon and then glittered from behind.
The third layer is stamped Daisies, of which I did 2 and then the top layer is the mini daisies and the picket fence, paper flowers are also added to the top....

The actual box has been made from the My craft Studio CD - lastest out which gives the template which I adapted slightly as I didnt like the way it closed and added extra flaps to make it more solid... perhaps I am too finicky.

Any how I loved making these they where something different for me altho they did take me quite a long time to put together as I do like everything to be just right lol....
Enjoy everyone and have a great weekend...... ju x

USING CD ROMS

I have made 3 cards today using CD Roms -
the first being from Crafters Companion flower fairies, using the buttercup design, I dont think the colours match very well so I have had to alter the colour to make it more yellow as when it printed out it was more of an orange colour, and didnt go with the fairy at all I also resize the backing sheet to produce smaller fairies in the background. I layered this up onto buttercup coloured card and mounted onto cream. added some cream antique lace and some gold beading and a gold clip, theres also some organza ribbon across under the sentiment.

The second card is made using Joanna sheen fairies CD.

The card is just using the image and a small piece of scrap paper also from the cd, the other papers are K & Co. which I mounted onto some gold floral card which has also been used on the sentiment, the corners are made by using a circle punch and cutting into quarters to make the photo corners.....The image has been decoupaged and the sentiment reads:-
memories close to my heart are found in your friendship

The Third card has been made using the art Deco CD by Di Kaye
What a gorgeous image, mounted onto some HOTP paper with added silk flowers which I have added punched flowers to the centres and put in pearl brads
I think this one is my favourite xxx

A new award

Well its been a while since my last post, I have no idea where April went too, but its gone and it wont be back until next yr. I have been given this award while I have been off line, and I would like to thank Carol from
crafty crofty for her kind thoughts
Now I must pass it on to eight bloggs, who can then choose eight more and will include this cleverly written text.
These blogs are exceedingly charming, these are the kind of bloggers who aim to find and become friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are proper gated, please give more attention to these writers.
below are my choosen eight...
