Tim Holtz inspired christmas tag 4

At this moment in time as this post goes out, I am actually on a beach in France having breakfast lol..... just here for the day doing a little christmas shopping

Inspired by the chirstmas 4 tag by Mr Holtz I have made this card, Using a die cut snowman I added the crackle paint but couldnt wait and heated it with the heat gun which made it bubble rather than crackle....still it looks pretty good.

It doesnt show up very well in the photo but I have added some distress inks for added depth.

Have fun today with your crafting, take care, keep warm and mainly enjoy yourselves...... ju x

Tim Holtz inspired - Christmas tag 2

Inspired by Mr Holtz christmas tag 2, I have made my tag card, again I didnt have the items he has used, so I have improvised using a die cut raindeer, I stamped some craft paper with a music stamp and STAZ ON INK, first time round I stamped in distress and found when I came to add the white paint it all smudged so beware USE THE RIGHT INK.

I embossed with clear powder the wonder stamp along the sideso that when you over paint the craft colour shows threw.

Yes these are the ribbons from LIDL added to finish off the card

Great inspiration makes you feel so good when you have completed a great project...

Tim Holtz - 12 tags of christmas - Tag 1

This is the first year I have had a go with the christmas tags by Mr Holtz, I was amazed that the pine cones where made from card stock as I thought they where real cones......

If you want to follow his blog his link is on the bar on the right.................

Here is my version of Tag 1 made using my own Crafty Stash, which shows you dont need to buy everything Mr Holtz

I have had a go at the pine cones, they may not be cut with a die but I think they have come out pretty well for a first attemp at cutting them using just scissors

The die cut letters where from a multi pack I bought in the Jan sales last year, the ribbon is just some white organza ribbon which I have stained with the distress ink and then heated with the heat gun not too close or it will shrivel completely......

My top tip if you have no glitter paper to match your project and want to mat and layer - take any piece of paper or card add double sided tape all around the edge, peel off one edge at a time and add your glitter rub in well then brush off and continue all around the layer. Just see how effective it is and cost officent on my card.

I have made my tag and finished it off on to an 8" x 8" card for a special friend

I shall be making a envelope box for it to fit into

loved playing with this Mr Holtz thanking you for your inspiration!
