Vintage Christmas Wishes

Hello everyone and happy christmas, I have not been around for quite a few days in fact almost 2 weeks, dont ask me where the time has gone, I just havent had enough hours in each day,

at last I am back on track all my christmas cards are now all finished and posted off.

Here is my last one which I made last evening after doing a little blog hopping I came across some fabby blogs which have vintage images. This image is from a fantastci blog called artfreebies. click on the link and it'll take you there, its not to be missed.I think this is gonna be my new projects in 2010, heading down the vintage trail as there are some beautiful images out there. I can see this new phase coming in lol its clouding over me right now......

This card is for an old friend, a very old friend lol. I hope she is not reading this lol.

It was nice to finally make the last christmas card but I had fun making this one as its a new way for me using the vintage photos, I love it. I distress the photo by creasing the corner and scratching the print off also added ink to the edges and then stamped over the top with a stampin up postage mark. The papers are from HOTP vintage and the stamped mistletoe is desert sand memento ink.

snowflake tags with box

I am late this evening as I have been busy making christmas cards today, trying to catch up as usual.

I wanted to show you this little gift tag box I made last week, I saw this box back in the summer from stampin gal making a box with stampin up products, of which I got the instructions, I have just got round to making this little gift box of tags, of which I made snowflakes, using stampin up stamps and distress ink.

Each tag has 4 scalloped circles back and front have snowflake, the 2 centre tags have to and from and the other has a little something for a little someone.
I have placed 12 tags in the box, showing the snowflakes in 2 of the partitions, to and from in another and in the last a little something for a little someone. to show off the tag I have added 1 to the outside of the box and tied it to the ribbon.
The acetate wrap around the box is using a foiled acetate from kanban.
These are lovely little boxes and so easy to make I want to make more of these after christmas with everyday tags inside I really enjoyed making this one.
Hope you like it.....x

ATC - Shades of Blue for England Stampers Mingle

Good evening all you crafty crafters, as you can see yes yet again its that cobweb stamp, I have got rather obsessed with this stamp lol
I made it into an atc for the october mingle over at England stampers - the theme is shades of blue.
You can just about see the glitter glue on the cobweb to show the dew drops after a shower of rain.... and the art stamp I think is brilliant, I love using it when sending something to another crafter.
Have fun with your stamping x

Under the Sea

Hello again, I have returned, Not been too busy while away have been just chilling in the sun and now I am so chilled I dont know if I can get warmed up into this card making malarky. lol
just give me a day or two lol
While I was away I did make 3 cards for the englands stampers group mingle, the theme being under the sea so Here is my take, on it.
Its a merman with his catch of fish with seaweed stamped. the backing paper I have sprayed with adirondak spraymist and added some pearlescent inks. I remember when my son was about 16 he said theres no such thing as mermen and I said corse there are how would you get mer babies....lol duh!

Here are the pics all the same just slightly different colours ways.....
Its good to be back I have missed my blogging hope you call back soon..... ju x

Arched ATC - Stewart Gill Stamps

Its an atc mingle over at England stampers - the theme this month is arched atc.
The Template just made me think churches, and so I went down that theme.
I loved making this today, I really lost myself in it, I must admit I love to visit churches when we are out and about. I love the old carvings, and the stone and all the artwork that you find inside, sometimes its really amazing.
So I started off making the doors,
and then you enter inside.....
The colours worked so well it looks so vibrant from the inside as you open the doors

Oh and I nearly forgot, I made the hinges by using some organza ribbon inbetween the layers so the doors opened easily.Heres the view of the back stamped onto gold card with staz on black and then rubbed some ink around the egdes and all over to darken down the gold. All the stamps used are from Stewart Gill. Which I had always admired but they where expensive, but I bagged a lot of them when a local craft shop was selling them off, and I got all they had instead of being 14.99 a set I got them for £4.
Probably my best bargain yet lol.......
I do hope you like this as much as I do, it will be hard for me to let it go.............
