This is the first year I have had a go with the christmas tags by Mr Holtz, I was amazed that the pine cones where made from card stock as I thought they where real cones......
If you want to follow his blog his link is on the bar on the right.................
Here is my version of Tag 1 made using my own Crafty Stash, which shows you dont need to buy everything Mr Holtz
I have had a go at the pine cones, they may not be cut with a die but I think they have come out pretty well for a first attemp at cutting them using just scissorsThe die cut letters where from a multi pack I bought in the Jan sales last year, the ribbon is just some white organza ribbon which I have stained with the distress ink and then heated with the heat gun not too close or it will shrivel completely......
My top tip if you have no glitter paper to match your project and want to mat and layer - take any piece of paper or card add double sided tape all around the edge, peel off one edge at a time and add your glitter rub in well then brush off and continue all around the layer. Just see how effective it is and cost officent on my card.
I have made my tag and finished it off on to an 8" x 8" card for a special friend
I shall be making a envelope box for it to fit into
loved playing with this Mr Holtz thanking you for your inspiration!
